Nathan D. McFadden acquires the DeVries family business to continue their successful 30-year legacy.
Nathan D. McFadden acquired Elevator Service Inc. (ESI) from Jeffrey and Ginger DeVries earlier this month. While earning an outstanding reputation for the exceptional quality of their new construction and modernization work, ESI has provided superior elevator maintenance and repair services across Michigan for 30 years.
“We are excited to pass on the torch,” said Jeffrey and Ginger DeVries who founded the company in 1987 and grew it to over 1,000 units on maintenance. “Nate will do a fantastic job leading ESI into the future while honoring the legacy we built over 3 decades.”
McFadden brings a unique skill set to his new enterprise. In the US Marine Corps, Nate served as an Infantry Officer rising to the level of Captain. He has accumulated several graduate degrees including alumni status at Harvard Business School. He joined the industry with Otis Elevator in Grand Rapids and was promoted to General Manager in 2010. In 2013, he joined Schindler Elevator as Director of Business Development for the US and held various management positions including VP & Area General Manager overseeing offices in 9 Midwestern states.
